Pettitt Group Art Collection Features Local Idaho Artists
In 2016 we had Karen Bubb create an original work of art that re ran as signed, numbered prints and framed for client closing gifts. This has been a wonderful new tradition, and we would like to build upon it. Our goal was to curate an art collection of original works by local artists. Over the course of 2017 a group of twelve local artists were chosen to submit artwork to be a part of a collection. We unveiled the collection of pieces on November 9, 2017, at a client appreciation party at the Boise Art Museum. We’re using this as an opportunity to not only promote the work of local artists, but to support arts education locally. Throughout the following year, during each month, The Pettitt Group at Group One | Sotheby’s International Realty will send out a postcard depicting one of the featured works, along with a short bio and the contact information of the artist. Then in November 2018, the originals will be auctioned to benefit education programs and the next year’s originals will be unveiled. The proceeds from the auction will be donate to the Boise Art Museum and Surel’s Place. Our goal is to grow this project into an annual event.
